hirley Lynn Skipper White

Mrs. Shirley Lynn Skipper White, 52, of Wilmington NC., went to join her beloved father in heaven on July 3, 2010, while in the comfort of her own home.

Shirley was born on April 11, 1958, daughter of the late Robert Lee Skipper. Shirley's grandmother, Daisy Williams Skipper, was as close to a mother than one could ever hope for. Shirley was a life long member of the Delco Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Samuel Hulan White; son Robert "Buddy" Skipper (wife Rebecca); daughter Rebecca "Reagan" Piner (husband Chris); daughter Mary "Katherine" Andrews (husband Thommy); six grandchildren: Noah, Caitlyn, Gage, Audrey, Jacob, and Savannah, two sisters, Margie Ann Carmichael and Brenda Skipper.

Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved everyone unconditionally and cherished her grandchildren. She will forever be in our hearts and eternally missed by all who knew and love her.

Internment of ashes will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, NC.
